We’re currently working with an established business based in Ripon that is looking to add a Credit Controller with at least 1–2 years of experience to their team.
The role can be offered on a temporary contract initially, with the potential to become permanent if preferred.
Main Responsibilities:
- Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to collect outstanding payments
- Resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes
- Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and take appropriate actions
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and payment details
- Analyse credit data and financial statements to determine creditworthiness
- Collaborate with the sales team to resolve any outstanding issues
- Prepare and send out monthly statements to customers
- Process credit card payments and reconcile accounts
- Assist with data entry and administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in credit control or a related field
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Proficient in data entry and using accounting software
- Ability to analyse financial information and make informed decisions
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
Salary: £19,740 per annum
12 months FTC
Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday - Thursday)

What you'll be doing:
- Processing customer orders, quotations, and queries, supporting sales and delivering a seamless customer experience.
- Administer and maintain the CRM system, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability.
- Configure CRM settings, workflows, and user roles to meet business requirements.~
- Maintain accurate data through regular cleansing, audits, and enforcement of quality standards.
- Provide user support, resolve technical issues, and deliver CRM training and documentation.
- Generate reports and dashboards, analysing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with departments to define KPIs and ensure effective CRM utilisation.
- Work with IT to integrate CRM with other business systems.
- Stay updated on CRM developments and lead enhancement projects to optimise performance and user experience.
